Installing YMaps and MLOs

Install a FiveM YMap or MLO: server.cfg, the required game build, fixing conflicts with other map resources and checking it in game.

YMaps and MLOs both stream into the map like any other resource. A YMap places or edits things in the world (props, exteriors, a new area). An MLO is an interior you can walk into. Installing either takes a couple of minutes; most problems come from two map resources editing the same spot.

Before you start. Download the latest build from Keymaster → Granted Assets and check the product page for a required game build.

Add the resource

  1. Extract the download into resources and keep the folder name.
  2. Add it to server.cfg with the folder name from your download:
    ensure resource_name
  3. Restart the server.

Our resources ship with fxmanifest.lua already set up, so there's nothing to edit there.

Game build

Some maps use props from newer GTA V updates. If the product page lists a game build, set it in server.cfg:

sv_enforceGameBuild 3095

Use the number from the product page. Without it, parts of the map can be missing.

Map conflicts

Two resources editing the same location fight each other: flickering walls, missing doors, holes in the floor, props floating or the interior not loading at all.

  • Remove other MLOs or YMaps placed at the same address.
  • Check map packs and IPL loaders that change the same building or block.
  • Start our resource after any general map pack in server.cfg.

Check it in game

Go to the location from the product page and walk all of it, inside and out. If something looks off, close FiveM, delete the cache folder in FiveM.app/data and join again before reporting it.

Doors and scripts

YMaps and MLOs are map assets only. Door locks, elevators, stashes and job logic come from your own scripts (ox_doorlock, qb-doorlock and so on), set up the same way as for any vanilla building.
